Father. Christian. Entrepreneur. Son of a grocery store owner. Former political consultant and technology  a·fi·ci·o·na·do. The Almanack blog is aptly named based on my love of Ben Franklin but also it was the name of my first email newsletter I sent out in 1999 when I began Patriot Campaign Consulting (patriotcampaign.com). Carrying over the name was a natural thing. Why the fascination with Ben Franklin? He was a fascinating man. A patriot, a writer, printer, inventor, marketer, salesman, diplomat, world traveler, and philosopher.  He also said “If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead and rotten, either write something worth reading or do things worth writing.” I attempt to do both here. Currently I’ve gotten back into photography and you can check that out here.
